The short answer
Yes. Markitech configures Google Consent Mode v2 in Tag Manager, including the ad_user_data and ad_personalization signals, region-specific defaults and updates from your consent banner, and checks that tags respect them.
In more detail
A common problem is consent defaults set to denied everywhere, which quietly removes measurement in regions where it is not required. Markitech can set defaults by region, such as denied only for the EEA and the UK.
Consent signals also need to reach server-side containers and ad platform tags. Markitech checks that GA4, Google Ads, Microsoft UET and paid social tags receive and respect them.
Every Tag Manager change is shown as a diff and published only after you approve it.
Consent Mode does not replace your consent banner or legal review. It passes the choices your banner collects to Google and other tags, so measurement adapts to each visitor’s consent.

Key terms
Every change, approved by you
Markitech proposes each write action in chat, such as a budget change, a paused campaign or a Tag Manager publish, and holds it until you approve it. Reporting and lookups run without approval, so you can ask as many questions as you need.
